Addressing Housing Shortage in Eastern Nebraska
Home Value Builders (HVB) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing affordable housing options in Nebraska. Founded by experienced contractors with over 30 years of building expertise, HVB was created to address the critical shortage of entry-level homes for working individuals.
Leveraging our history of constructing high-quality homes in the Omaha metro area, we established HVB as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to access state grants specifically designated for workforce housing. These funds, supported by Nebraska’s documentary stamp tax, enable us to build affordable homes that are sold on the open market without financial restrictions—ensuring accessibility for buyers while strengthening rural and urban communities.
The process of applying for and managing grants is complex. Still, our nonprofit status allows us to navigate these challenges and dedicate resources toward building homes that working individuals desperately need. Each home we complete not only provides shelter but also creates opportunities for long-term financial stability and generational wealth.
Through strategic partnerships and state resources, HVB is bridging the gap between demand and supply, empowering individuals, and building stronger neighborhoods—one home at a time.
